Design Beyond Function. Objects as Presence.

Officially part of the Fuorisalone 2026 programme, Designed to Exist is a curated exhibition that repositions design not as a solution, but as a condition of presence.

Developed as a sequence of immersive, monochromatic environments, the exhibition invites visitors into a series of spatial atmospheres where perception is shaped through the interplay of colour, material, light, and reflection. Each room functions as an independent perceptual field—an environment where objects are not defined by utility, but by their relationship to space and the emotional resonance they generate.

A Collaborative Platform

Realised in partnership with induestudio and MDisputes, the exhibition brings together a cross-disciplinary network of designers and creative voices. This collaboration reinforces the project’s commitment to fostering dialogue between design, spatial practice, and cultural production.

The opening night on 20 April will feature drinks powered by Alchimia Opificio, setting the tone for an immersive and sensorial launch experience.

Curatorial Approach

At the core of Designed to Exist lies a shift in perspective: from functionality to sensorial experience.

Through controlled use of monochrome palettes and carefully constructed environments, the exhibition dissolves traditional hierarchies between object and space. Light becomes material. Surfaces become narrative. Reflection becomes interaction.

Visitors are not guided—they are immersed.
